Fuel level gauge issue?
Maybe I'm being paranoid but here's the story. Recently had to have my 03 Z C5 left-side rearend seal replaced due to leak. Paid the dealer to do the work alittle over $400.00 with labor, I supplied the diff fluid. Vette was returned with the job completed, well sort of. Took the Vette on a Sunday cruise and returned home with the smell of sulfur emenating from the rear.Jacked the car up on stands and saw diff fluid all over the rear. Returned the car to dealer with pics of rear-end. Looked like someone took a caulking gun and shot sealant around rear diff area. Job looked like crap. Dealer ate the repair as they should so far no more leaks. Exactly on return of the car I filled it up and the fuel gauge pegged empty. Code P1433 is showing and upon right turns fuel gauge bounces from full to empty for a small period of time then settles to full like it should. Could have the dealers tech have caused this with his access to the rear fuel modules ie. sabotage?
