The other day I disconnected my battery to clean some electrical connections.(I have a long dirt driveway) After I reconnected the battery I got in the car and started it up. It immediately displayed Pull key, wait 10 seconds. I followed the instructions several times but it still comes back up. So I decided to ignore it after a while and reversed my car out of the driveway. This ended in the car stalling right as the mph needle got off 0mph. Needless to say my car has been stuck in the driveway for a few days now. I tried google searches and trouble shooting but I keep coming up with "column lock" threads but my column doesnt lock whether its on or off. Any ideas?
Try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it again. Apparently the column lock circuitry is sensitive to voltage. There's a proper torque to fasten the battery terminals to. Do a search, lots of info, one of (if not THE) most popular Corvette failure modes.
So I found one thats still current B2723 HC Passkey detection Circuit. That explains why I have to ghetto start my car every once in a while but doesnt explain the car dieing and the pull key wait 10 seconds message. Ill look into the column bypass also.

Well I reckon its time for a new ignition switch. I tried cleaning the connections in it a while ago when the Passkey issue started.....I lost a spring that moves the little studs haha Ever since then the Security light has stayed on. Ive just never had any issues until now.
I called my local chevy dealer and they said the column lock recall was done on my car in 04. That explains the column not locking. Could it still be that I need a CLB?

Well, there is your answer. You might as well replace the assembly.
I decided to pull the dash piece off under the steering wheel and what do you know, a black box plugged into the harness....I guess I already have a CLB installed. Well its time to start throwin parts at it.

You probably lost the spring behind the passkey contact.
My car had a similar issue. I had column lock but tuner turned up the fuel cut off. I diagnosed it to a bad battery, replaced it. Column lock was fine but still had Wait 10 seconds....
My car had the recall done so before I bought a CLB I checked to see if it had a K Harness. It did. I removed it from under the steering wheel, and no more issues to this date a year later. These K Harnesses seem to periodically fail or internally short causing this issue.
