Hi All,
I have done all the mods I can to my 1998 Vert (335 RWHP). I don't want to go inside and someone told me that I could change the rockers and get another 20-25 HP. What kind and what ratio would do that and what kind of problems would I encounter?
Thanks,
Mike
I have these on my car, Crane Gold rockers in 1.8:1. They are still in business . You will gain 15 - 20 HP. If you are handy with a wrench and can follow instructions these are a great mod. These are fully adjustable rockers and you will have to adjust them. If you want non adjustable rockers look at the Scorpion 1.8:1 you will still get a gain with these. You will gain by changing your intake also to the LS6 model, all 2004 had this intake. If you have a stock cam you will not have to change valve springs, however if you are on the original springs it would be a good idea.
True....under new ownership. The original Crane owned family business dissolved in early 2009, and was reopened in August of 2009, after being purchased by S&S Cycle.
Changing ratios to a 1.8 is a great easy mod !! and as mentioned worth about 15-20 RWHP !! I like the Yella Terras the best--- Make sure that you have an LS6 intake manifold--A 98 did not have one--It's another honest 12-15 RWHP--
I had the SLP 1.85's and it was a direct swap, you will need to change the springs also I used the stock Z06 yellow springs and they worked flawless W/9lbs of boost.
