broken lowering bolt
guess it was just a bad day for me. took the vette to work. the clouds busted rain. im backing the vette up. someone yells at me... so i slam on the brakes "thinking i was about to hit something" followed by a loud BAM... i get out and look under the car... i find 2 halfs of my lowering bolt on the asphault. make matters worse. i work on a section 8 property. and it was pouring and car was broken on a hill.... it was not staying there over the weekend.... i replaced the bolt. didnt take long nor was it hard, just sucked laying in the rain working on it. anyone else busted a lowering bolt? i thought harden bolts had a tensil of like 20k pounds....

Back about a year or two ago a member posted here on the forum in
regards of a rear aftermarket bolt breaking.
Consider your self lucky.
If that bolt would have broken while in some twisties and at a high rate of speed, things could have been real real bad.
