Default Need help from the tire guys!

Im starting to run my vette in the 1/4 more frequently, and within the next few months the car will end up with a 3600 stall torque converter, so "hooking up" will now be an issue. I plan to buy a PAIR of rims to mount the slicks on, but I need a tire size. Any recommendations? Ill select the rims based of the tires y'all recommend me.

Also, kinda a shot in the dark, but what times do y'all reckon I should see close to?
3600 stall, slicks, 2.73s, a4, '97 LS1, everything else stock as well.

Are you getting bias ply slicks?

I think you can fit a 26x10.5x16 on a 9" F-body wheel. I dunno if 11.5" tire will fit or if you'd have to get something wider for that.

Do you have up graded drivetrain parts to complement those SLICKS???

The tires you have now are the FUSE that protect the rear and tranny.

If you install bigger fuses (STICKY TIRES), your liable to find out that the differential output shaft is now the smaller fuse.

Yeah, makes since. I just want to get the best traction possible without breaking anything. Perhaps smaller slicks?

If you plan to run with slicks, you are going to start breaking pieces, esp if you have a manual trans. Sorry,Imissed that your have an A4,but broken drivetrain parts still apply.
