Default Charging Issues.. Tech Help Appreciated

Here is the scenario:
1999 C5 LS1

The battery check out to be fine.
Internal lights flicker, dash and floor lights.
Charging indicator in the DIC goes from 14.4 to 12.0 intermittently as lights flicker.

Already had the "Low Voltage" indicator alarm as the charging system gradually went down deteriorating to 4 Volts.

Looks like the alternator works, but maybe there is another reason to explain this failure.

What is the voltage measurement directly at the alternator? What is the voltage measured at the battery? The alternator connects with the battery cable at the solenoid. A quick test, is to hook up a 10 gauge jumper wire, from the alternator to the positive battery cable.

Check your battery clamps. Can you wiggle them by hand ? If so - they are too loose, replace the old clamps with new clamps.

Make sure that they are not corroded and you have a clean contact.

This is what happened to mine and cleared up all the voltage warning messages.
