Default Poly bushing question

I am ready to upgrade for poly bushing

I read a lot of threads and I have no problem with the squeaking as with the T1 spring, sway bar and bilstein it is already a squeaky car.
the car is mostly a track car

I am thinking I will also go with the grease Zerk fitting.

Now as far as poly bushing some say VBP are the best, some say it is the pfatt.

for a track car it seems that most of you go with VBP

Is there a real diffrence between them.
I read the pfatt are not always an easy install as the C5 arms are not really machined precisely

thanks in advance

PS as any one tried Energy Suspension ?

I have the Energy Suspension kit. If you get that, buy the new metal shells. They are worth the $200 or whatever they cost.

Locally here we have the largest Energy Suspension warehouse in the US-------believe it or not they reccomend using "antisieze" on all their poly bushings and NOT grease--petroleom or synthetic !! It is a bit messy but I've been using it on everything ever since and never have any more squeaking issues !!

I would go with T1 control arms where you can. Stock for everything else. Poly is always in a binding condition. I don't care what kind of grease you use. If it's race only, then spherical bearings are the only way to go.

There are sleeves that go in the bushings (I should have said "sleeve" instead of "shell"). When you pull out the old rubber bushings, the sleeves will be stuck to the rubber and it's a PITA to remove them. I don't think you can press htem out and I had to cut the old rubber off and then use a wire wheel to clean the sleeves.

For the price difference, it would have been easier to just get the pfadt set.

I put the Pfadt's in last winter and have had no issues. Use the grease they supplied and no squeaks. Mine is about a 65% track and 35% street. They really have stiffen the turns for me and helps keep the car flat. I also have the Pfadt coilovers and Johnny O'Connel sway bars too. They really help to not wear out the edges of the track tires. Also helps keep my alignment for the track from coming out of adjustment. I run 2.5* of neg camber in front and 1.25* in rear.

Binding is the reason.

Just a simple question of what I found:
over $500 at LGM
$390 at Pfadt
and just $100 at summit racing.
I look at the pictures and the summit seems to have the metal sleeves that Lothar34 was mentioning.
For $100 they worth the try even if later I go with Pfadt

here is the pictures for the one who wants to see

Yeah, for some reason I thought the sleeves were available alone. Maybe not.

It also says "Image is a representation of this part. Actual part may vary."

This is what the rear set looks like:

And the fronts look similar except there are no shock absorber bushings.

I have Pfadt's kit for track and street use. The grease they use is some gnarly stuff. Once it's on, it's not coming off. Overall very happy with the set up.

Poly can be a tricky part to manufacture correctly. Our unique graphite impregnated polyurethane and supplied high quality marine grade grease are two steps taken to reduce friction and noise when moving to Poly. For dual use cars the Poly is working well, but for the ultimate in track car preparation the spherical bearings are really the way to go!

The 2 piece front upper control arm bushings can be a little tricky to install, but if the directions are carefully followed and the bushings are able to be pressed together by hand they will provide trouble free use!
