I was just thinking what you all thought of me tuning a little with the predator by richening up at wot ? and see what it nets for me as far as 1/4 times and mph. Also wondering if doing the same with timing advance would be safe , advance timing a little and see what the 1/4 time , mph are at. I'm also at 4500 ft elevation and trying to get into the 13's, last week before tuner I got a 14.2 at 99mph.

1st--whenever you Dis connect your battery or read your tune---or download a tune change- your ECM has to "RELEARN" all the fuel trims---This takes about 50-75 miles of normal driving---SO--any change at the track would not really be an accurate representation of what the " change" did-until it learns out--Typically mods like cold air kits / cat back exh.--will make your P/T fuel lean so the ECM will add fuel to correct the mixture--BUT as a safety that % is also added to your WOT fuel too !!! making it pig rich
2nd---higher altitudes would require LESS fuel to make a correction (based on sea level)
3rd---If your car is bolt on type and stockish-- and has NEVER been tuned--these cars in STOCK trim come from GM very RICH from the factory at WOT---(not lean !) so ADDING more fuel would NOT make it faster--but slower and way lazy --

Thanks guys , all you've stated makes a lot of sense. I went to the track last night and left the spark, fuel enrichment alone. I did tune the transmission with TM off and fans were reprogrammed. I got a best of 14.02 @100mph , so I knocked off 2 tenths from my previous best the following week. But it could have been the cooler night air or the TM . I am not kidding myself with the predator , its a cool tool to have but I think when I start the serious modding I will need something different. I am thinking for the 2 tenths picked up I should put the predator back in the box and get my money back.
