Default HELP! starting issue - car won't stay on till 3rd or 4th try

I have a 2001 z06 and Have been experiencing starting issues this past week. Car cranks quickly/fine with no hesitation (not battery or starter related based on my experience), then right after it cranks over, it instantly dies. It will do this 3-4 times, then finally it will crank over and stay on. Any ideas? battery connections are fine/snug. Thanks guys.

You hook up a Fuel pressure guage to the schrader valve on the fuel rail in the engine bay.

I've also read could be clutch safety switch...a security issue...or ground wire connection....any idea how to diagnose those as well?

The car was tuned by MTI racing in Atlanta last summer so Im doubting it's tune related but possible....

If it was the clutch switch or VATS, the engine would not crank.

You have a fuel related problem, bet it's a weak pump and/or a leaking injector. Bet the fuel rail has to pressurize after sitting for a while. Does is start up OK after just sitting a short while?

Always take 3-4 times to crank and stay on...cold start or warm.

Probably the pump then-you need to check fuel pressure.
