Ive used Mobile 1 in ALL the C5/C6 corvettes that Ive ever owned and Ive NEVER had ANY oil related failures or issues... Don't go for the expensive/fancy oil HYPE!
I've been using Schaeffer supreme 7000 synthetic plus racing oil 20w-50 in my 99 c5-r 427 speed inc built motor for several years, I also run it it my old school 62 stroked 409 Impala I have found it to be an excellent oil. Added a couple pounds oil pressure and still has excellent lubricity when changed.
For daily driving oil brands are almost a non-factor. If you are racing the car pushing it past 280 degrees then the weight and brand of oil is relevant. After experimenting with every major brand at the track, I've landed on Redline. 3 years of track use with zero pressure or any other issues.

I would just stick with the proven synthetics and you will be perfectly fine. If you are a serious racer or require a very specific element in your oil for a different engine build, that is another story.
