My dad has a 2000 coupe and his outside air temperture sensor is going crazy. It probably just doesnt believe it is really 119 outside
ifthe air conditioner is on, the outside air temp will go down to around 50 degrees. does anyone know where this sensor is so i can replace it? or has anyone had this issue and know of any kind of fix?

Sensor is on the passenger side. It is at the right hand corner of the front most part of the lower radiator support. More easily seen from under the car. Single electrical connector goes onto the back side of the sensor. Sensor is called "ambient air sensor".
The new sensor will not immediately record accurate temp. The HVAC module takes a while to "learn". In my case, it was about 20 min of driving.
Also, FWIW, my 99 works best in Man mode. Cannot explain why.
Can anyone tell me how to get the Outside air sensor out of it's little hiding place ? I see there is a screwbut not sure if it is supposed to be screwed out or just popped out by prying it with the screw driver. ?Not a lot of working room in there.

Just wait a few more months and it will be right!! Here in Arizona!
The connector for the little buggers get corroded to. Make sure that you clean it before installing the new one. A poor connection will send faulty signals giving you an inaccurate reading. Good Luck!
Just fyi if you go to "thread tools" there is a option to subscribe to a thread" that way you aren't bumping a 18 month old post that will probably get locked, Just a friendly tip..
No longer against the rules. Announcement made about 2 months ago about rules changes.
