Caravaggio Removable Hardtop Completed
The hardtop was finished yesterday, May 1. This has been a long wait, a year from the time, I first heard of the top going into production. After getting the top home, the first thing I did was to take inventory of all the hardware. The top comes without any molding, weather stripping, latches attached to the top. After all parts have been accounted for, the next step is to pre fit the top with the molding and latches, to insure that nothing would require sanding. After that was completed off to the paint shop, they did one great color match job using the gas tank cover as a sample. When I got the top back, it was very simple to reinstall all the hardware because, I had to do it during the pre fit. The top is quality piece of work, well designed and constructed. The top fits like a glove, no squeeks and it is very quiet inside the car.
A little pricey, but it's only money!
Top - $3500 including shipping!
Paint - $600
Total - Enjoyment

No defroster, the price would have been much more!

The gears and T/C are in the garage as we speak, maybe next week.

That top looks like a factory piece. I've got to have one! Love it! Does it have any air/water leaks?

Al,
It looks really good. How much does it weigh. Is it a one person or two person job to remove/install?

Top weights about 30-35 lbs, one person can do it, but you might scratch the car. To be safe, use 2 people or the hoist system.
