Default Bypass TPS module???

Starting off i have bought some oem c6 z06 wheels for my c5 I dont know what people say about fit ment issues mine fit perfect(305 tire in the R).Any how they dont have the tps modules in them and my dic keeps on saying "service tire pressure monitoring system" I know its because of the tps sensors not being installed. My question is...is their anyway to bypass them or the monitoring system for the mean time?I will in the next few months replace them but its just that message keeps on beeping and coming up.Thanks for looking

No bypassing them, the later models can be tuned out.

The C5Z does not have this enabled from the factory, but I understand that it can be enabled if you added sensors later.

Is it possible to reverse the process and "un" enable it with a Tech 2 ?

Also, did you buy C5Z wheels for your C5 ? A C6Z rear wheel would have larger than a 305 and probably come with a TPM sensor.

The C5Z had non-runflats from the factory so the TPMS was disabled from the factory. Do a search on this but until the Z came out, it was not possible to turn this off with swapping things inside the car. Many just put the sensor inside the wheel with a band to hold it in place.

You can tire pressure monitors on OR off with a Tech II on 2001 and later. Its a 5 minute job and completely reversible.

I would have put the sensors on with bands myself.

C6Z repro wheels can still mount tire pressure sensors in the correct way and there is no need to band them to the inside of the wheel barrels. Why not just buy some C5 sensors for your car and install them in these wheels? Then use a magnet to program the car to recognize them.

Since this message only occurs whenever you start the engine why not just hit the reset button and get rid of the message? A lot easier than doing anything else.
