Default Headers & exhaust

I know this topic has been review numerous times, but indulge me! Out of necessity I have to replace my x pipe and cat back system (B&B Bullits) so I'm thinking about just doing the entire system from headers to tail pipe. I really liked the sound of the B&B system, and I'm guessing with headers it will be a little louder. In any event, I'm looking for feedback on what everyone feels is the best value (not necessarily the least expensive) complete system available, prefferably from one of the supporting vendors.

Thanks

LJS

ARH longtubes are well made, install cleanly and perform well.

Best value and easiest mod to me is to buy a universal X-pipe ( like magnoflow) install in easily in-line where the old H pipe was--it's the same width-- and then KEEP your STOCK cats installed and completely remove your mufflers !! Replacing them with straight over the axle 2 1/2" or 3" pipes !! The 3" pipe are a tight fit and require some more work to clearance them especially on an A4---
It's not as loud as you may think--It gives your car more of a "race car" sound rather than the overdone low Flowmaster rumble we've all become used too---it's all in your preferance--If you don't like it--then you haven't spent much in the experiment and can always add a cat back system of some sort---I refuse to pay the "Corvette tax "of Corvette parts !! A cat back for most cars are like $350 but you say Corvette and suddenly they are $900 !
PS : with No mufflers you will get some resonance at a certain RPM but at cruise its sounds really cool to me ------and you can still hear the stereo-

Id say your best bet would be a set of z06 Ti mufflers and either Lg longtubes or the ARH longtubes.

But straight pipes sure do sound good I only lasted a couple of months before I put the Ti's on, then my girlfriend said she liked it better the other way but it sure is nice not waking the entire neighborhood when I started it up or decided to get on it a little bit at night...

I run this and love it. I like loud exhausts though

Check out the LG Streets we offer. LG offers a lifetime warranty on these.

Leo001.....I'm a recent customer of JWMotoring and I got my LG street headers from him and I'm very happy.Great product from a trusted CF vendor.

I have the street series w/the hi-flow cats & xpipe. They mate up to the stock Z Ti exhaust and sound really good.

Mild sound at part throttle and much louder at speed.

You will be happy with a setup like this.

I got mine from JW too except I went for the Pro's without cats and they sound pretty darn good under acceleration, still would like to have a little more sound sometimes though. I guess some cutouts are due.
Im going to try and get a video of my setup later tonight and see if I can get it up here.

Speaking of did you try those clamps I suggested? I had one come loose after a heat cycle. After tightening them suckers down they don't move.

I'm a huge supporter of the XSPower setup. Both their catted longtubes and mufflers are on my car. I think it sounds absolutely amazing, and the price cant be beat!

I run XS power headers (catted) with B&B Bullets.....and they're great at making the outside world seem quieter, not to mention you have no use for the radio anymore

BUT I LOVE THEM AND WOULDN'T CHANGE THEM EVER!
