98 Windshield wippers self activate
Without my turning them on, the windshield wipers on my 1998 vette self activate. There is no such self activation feature on the car.
The self activation is of two types. The first involves the wipers rising approximately four inches and holding for several minutes. Then they will jump approximately a half inch several times and then hold approximately four inches from the down position. They do not return to the down position. The second self activation involves the wipers operating in a normal sweeping action for ten minutes or so and then turning off and resuming the full down position.
Does anyone have any ideas about repairing this problem?

Sounds like your windshield Cowl Drain udders are clogged and the motor control unit is submerged in the standing water. Better fix it now of stand by to install a new wiper motor!!
