Lowered on stock bolts will drop the suspension travel down to be around 1". So, when you go with the typical 2" longer bolt with 1" of thread you have no suspension travel left.

Mine are 7". Yes, you can and will run out of shock travel if you go too low, but this can be combatted in other ways.

A modest drop on stock bolts does really improve the looks of these cars... but keep in mind you will eat into suspension travel. The best way to maintain proper suspension travel with an aggressive stance really are with coilovers. A ton of our coilover customers were at one time slammed on lowering bolts and hated the ride, and now wouldn't go back.

Unfortunately, I didn't think of that when I ordered my C-5, and I went ahead and ordered the F45 suspension.........

It's never too late. There are a couple different ways to eliminate the Magnetic ride shocks and run either conventional shocks or Coilovers. We have had success running our coilovers on both C5 and C6 cars originally equipped with Mag ride switching over to our coilovers.
