Default Door Window Adjustment

My passenger side window lacked about 1/4" from going all the way up and it leaked air and water. I search the forum and found a couple of references for both major adjustments and tilt in adjustments. I was a little hesitant at first to try this, but it really was quite easy. Once the door panel was off, I removed the speaker and the rubber vapor seal. With the window half way down I could easily access to two bolts that hold the window in place. Before loosening them, I used masking tape to identify the original window position and so I could judge the amount of adjustment being made.

Once the bolts were losoened, I put the window up all the way. I attached a couple of suction cups on the outside of the window like you would use to hang something on a window in your house. I sat on the inside of the car and my buddy used the suction cups to position the window where it needed to be. I tightened the bolts (13mm by the way) from the inside though the top of the door. We test closing and opening the door and rolling the window up and down a few times. We made one minor adjustment on the height of the window and added a little tilt with the jack screw. Took it for a test drive and presto - no wind noise no leaking. Took about an hour.

I should have taken pictures, but the bolts that hold the window in place are quite obvious. There is also a jack screw where the window mounts to the regulator that can be used to make minor height adjustments.
