My problems are:
1. I'm not sure which way the washer thats behind the idler pulley is supposed to go. Does anyone remember...one side of the washer is dirty and the other is clean if that helps.
2. After I started the car the pulley bolt backed back out and the belt came of. Does the bolt tighten all the way because it just seemed to keep turning....should I finish tightening the pulley after I put the belt back on?
ok I got it, the dirty side faces the motor. I had to put a copper washer between the dust shield and the pulley so that the pulley would turn freely. Thats why the bolt backed right out before I needed the washer. The replacement is a little thicker pulley.
