Re: How often do you replace your Clutch? (TDogg72)
I got 5800 miles out of my 01's clutch. Now it's got an 02 clutch in it. One of my club members made a comment that if you race, you can make the clutch one of your consumables just like oil, gas and tires.
Re: How often do you replace your Clutch? (TDogg72)
My First clutch was replaced at 8,000 miles because it was warped. The Disc looked good with lots of meat on it. Replaced with a McLeod Single Disc, Pressure Plate and Aluminum Flywheel.
The second clutch was replaced at 17,000 miles. Looked good, no warping, lots of meat on the disc. Replaced with McLeod Dual Disc, New Pressure Plate, New Aluminum Flywheel, AP Adjustable Master & Z06 Slave.
If you run under 550 rrwhp a Star 3 clutch should give you lots of life.If its 550 or above the Star 4 has amazing holding and wear charectoistics. We've pulled motors run hard on stage 3's at 18K miles and they have had 70% life left most people upgrade to the Star 4 so they dont have to pay 3-400 clams when essiantually your install is 100 tops.Yours Truly David S.
