I've been thinking about your post here & am wondering if it is related to my problem, so I'm going to post the question in this thread. If it is possible others searching may find there answer or clue.
I have a LS3 stroker, 6 spd, 4:10's, trans brace, RPS Street Twin Lite. I doubt there is even 300 miles on the package, built & Installed by others. I've been plagued with drive ability issue's, over cammed. I changed out the cam & re tuned on the dyno.
Out for my very first test drive, probably a little more aggressive test drive than normal as I was thrilled how powerful & responsive the new cam was. I do not abuse as in burn outs, drag race or any drive line shock, more roll on & a bit of rowing the gears, no power shifts. I live in the mountains, the car is set up more for that style...
So I'm nearing the turn around area from my highway test drive (the entire test drive is logged HPT) I had notice previously a somewhat difficult 2-3 shift. I've had two previous clutches & a difficult 2-3 comes up on my radar. As I'm coming to a stop the clutch pedal feels wrong & I hear a tinkle sound from the clutch area....the clutch will not disengage. Starts in neutral fine, no noticeable or unusual vibration....drive it home with no clutch.
I've checked ever thing underneath, no bits when I remove the inspection pan, everything looks perfect & new like it should for 300 miles.
Replaced the M/C out of desperation, the slave travels as it should, the only disc that even attempts to release is the one closest to the flywheel. The floater & the balance are locked tight, I can see the flywheel flexing when the clutch is pressed in

My question! If that coupler has failed is it possible that can cause the "no" disengage issue, also would that be the tinkle I heard?

I would of suggest starting your own thread.
The simple answer to your above question in most likely NOT. The input shaft is fixed in place by bearings in the torque tube housing.
Do you have a stock shifter or aftermarket? Has the shifter alignment been checked?
When you say you can see the flywheel flex, how much? What type of flywheel?
I only thought if there is connection with my symptom & failing couplers it maybe good information.Even if this is not related after seeing this thread I will replace couplers regardless. I need to talk to Rick regarding Transmission upgrades as well.

When you say you had no clutch, can you elaborate? Did the pedal Go to the floor or did it have pressure but didn't disengage the clutch? I think the problem is in your hydraulics or clutch. Feel free to call/email me.
