Battery Tender question
please help (lead-acid battery)
just bought a bettery tender from o'riley $62.
it has 3 modes of charging
1. initial charge solid red lamp
2. medium charge blinking green
3. storage charge solid green lamp
watching voltage across battery terminals---
starts out 12v and solid red lamp
slowly takes voltage up to 14.6 v
then switches to medium charge mode blinking green
holds voltage at 14.6
stays at 14.6 for 6 to 8 hours
finally switches to storage mode solid green lamp
voltage drops down to 13.2 and it stays there from then on
voltage does not change after that
their book says a fully charged lead-acid is 100% charged
at 12.9 v
my question ??? should we be placing 14.6 volts on the
computers and modules for 6 to 8 hours?
thanks
No hint of any negative effects due to its use.
