have had tons of issues no les than 8 trips to the dealer...Brian says for some years he can change the 3 mph shut down to 225 mph so if it does trip nothing hapens. i dont think ill see 225 Mph any time soon
I've always wondered about that. I've seen it done for CAGS before and thought it would be a great option for the column lock issue. That is saying it doesn't actually lock up at 190... bad bad bad...
Does anyone know a dealer or independent shop that will reset the cut off speed from 2.5 mph to something higher? 200 mph works. I've talked to the local dealer here and they have the capability to do it but will not because of the liability issue. I'm in the Raleigh Wake Forest area. North Carolina.
I just bought an 01 with 50K on it. Was totally unaware of the column lock issue until it happened the second day that I owned the car!! Have become well educated since. I have the Houston Corvette CLB on the way but would do the MPH change just as a backup. The car has had all the dealer recalls done and the pin has been removed so the column will not lock.
