'99 Vert Electrical Gremlins
Anyone experience this? I raised the top of my 'Vert with the engine running. Don't know if that matters or not, but the owner's manual says engine off, car in park, etc. Then went to rais the windows, and the passenger-side door is DEAD. No window power, no power locking, either from driver-side door or passenger side door. Opened the fuse box in the footwell (Oh yeah, try this in San Antonio on a 95-degree afternoon - you'll love it!). Fuses #30 & #31 (passenger side door) are okay. Still no pwer to the door. Okay, take it to the Chevy dealer Sunday night, drop it off, wait for them to call...and NOTHING. The Window & door ARE FINE! Cannot duplicate the problem!!! Arrrrgghhh! Gotta love it! Has this happened to anyone else? Also, for you San Antonio & South Texas Vette Owners - Smith Chevrolet is a GOOD DEALERSHIP! They have service techs that know corvettes and actually read the Service Bulletins! Go figure.

I know that there is a safety feature built in to the convertible that prevents the top going up with the windows up already, but it would not block power to either passenger or driver once the top is in place.

These cars are notorious for having power window problems - and it seems to happen more on passenger side. Sometimes pounding your fist on the door will activate the window motor again, but that is obviously a temporary fix.
My 98 vert was fixed under warranty foir same problem, and I believe there is a TSB on the part.
