Has anyone found a shorter wiper switch stalk that will replace the stock one on the C5? ( maybe from a different GM) I don't use my wipers unless it's pouring rain so hard I can't see, but hate the over sized switch especially when I accidentally bump it reaching for the ignition or what ever. It would be great to have one about 2" shorter and would look nicer too. Thought about removing the fuse since I've only used the wipers twice in almost 6 years, but would rather have them available in case.
(It is my DD)
Tried a search, but didn't find anything. TIA
The C5 wiper switch assembly is no different than those found on many other GM cars, and is also used on some foreign makes. I would think that there are too many wires in the stalk that would allow for the stalk itself to be shortened.
Doesn't the steering wheel move independently from the turn signal and wiper stalks??
Would be very difficult to shorten it and still look good. I will check other GM vehicles to see if any are shorter. Just wanted to see if anyone had already tackled the "too long" lever swap.

I've only been on the forum since 2007, but I've never seen a thread/post, where anyone complained about the length of the stalk.
