Ok, this none has me scratchinng my head. When driving down the roas and I let off the gas to slow down, no brakes being applied. The motor stumbles, as if Im hitting the brake. I've got no codes, but something is wrong. Is mt torque converter going bad, bad plugs...????
2 vets in one month, both have issues.. hmmmm help an ole man out here guys.
It is likely the Torque Converter clutch applying/releasing. It can feel like someone tapped the brakes. Do you also notice the RPM's dropping?
Try to determine what MPH this happens and see if there is a corrolation to the TCC Apply/Release MPH settings in your trans tune.
What is??-->> the Torque Converter Clutch Apply/Release MPH settings in your trans tune.
You got me on that one. It happens around 950-1250 RPM
I've installed the VR2 and replaced the MAF. But I'm not sure that it or something else.[/QUOTE]
Torque converters slip by nature. To reduce heat there is a mechanical means of "locking up: the torque converter (i.e. no slipping). The TCC does that function.
Bottom line... The is just a guess at your issue. You'll need a tuner to correctly diagnose this.
What MODs do you have.. Some (like CAMs ) effectthe transmission shift points and pressure settings. If your NOT STOCK,, I recommend a GOOD TUNER Data Log the car and make the necessary PCM Changes.
