Default Wheel stud tolerances question

Just got my new longer wheel studs for the 2001, (ARP100-7708) suposodly correct for all late Vettes and Camaros and others.
I noted some difference around the splined seating area as follows

New studs outer splines 12.9mm Old studs 12.6mm
New studs inner splines 12.54mm Old studs 12.42mm

Holes in hubs average around 12.35mm (difficult to read accurately)

Will these studs press in OK or will I need to ease the holes slightly? or do you think these tolerances are acceptable?

Thanks in advance

Mike.

My personal feeling is that there is nothing to worry about here. A press fit between a splined shaft and a hole is a totally different animal than a solid shaft and a hole. The splines will deform big time as they are pressed in. This allows the manufacturers a much wider tolerance on the hole. Measuring an old stud that's already deformed, you can expect it to be a little smaller than a new one. Besides, the difference is only about 11 thou at the worst. I would leave the holes alone and just press them in.

Mike.
So you are comparing a brand new stud, and an old stud that has been pressed in ....and removed? If you want an accurate comparison, you would have to compare a new unused stock stud, and a new ARP stud.

Thanks guys, my friends 50 ton press did not seem to care about tolerances, all studs successfully fitted and the car is back on the road, thanks for your comments
