Thinking of upgrading exaust system. Any suggestions on how to move the stock system. It will only have 2000 miles on it. Have no room for storage and don't want to just throw it away.

If you have a 01+ model, with the chrome tips it has a value of $100-175. The previous years exhaust usually go for $FREE-75. Its taken some some forum members 2-3 years to give away there stock exhaust for free. You can try ebay, sometimes you run accross some  people that will buy it.

Good luck. I kept mine for when I trade or sell my C5.

The last 7 cars I have owned have had upgraded exhaust. I keep the stock exhaust for awhile and then always end up throwing it away. This last time I just tossed the next week........

Email for pics, I have a $240.00 Magnaflow exhaust system, there is none more exotic sounding. For the last 2 years the first thing people ask, even before whats under the hood is, what exhaust do you have. As soon as I can figure out how to post a topic and add a pic on this forum I will post it.

If you are giving it away and are close to Jacksonville, FL, I will take it. I am thinking of making my own rear exhaust by replacing the rear mufflers with just stainless steel tubing, but don't want to cut up mine in case I sell the car later. I was going to buy the SLP Loudmouth, but I think if I replace the mufflers with just straight pipe, I can accomplish the same thing for a lot less. Has anyone else tried this?

I've had straight pipes. Its LOUD.

I had the rear pipes from the XR-1. No center resonator. Just pipes out to dual 4" tips.

Trashed mine. I can't see how anyone would ever want to go back. Any future buyer that starts giving me grief about not having the factory exhaust will be shown the door. I don't see it as a downside in future desirability.

Hey Tom, the stock ones were "GM Approved" like the Corsa's, weren't they?
Had you not trashed them, and moved to Florida, you could have sold the tips, at least, to Cadillac owners in the various retirement communities here.
;) ;)

here is the ad:

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1818562360&r =0&t=0

it did not reach my reserve, but the high bidder contacted me afterwards and we agreed to the $185 plus $53 shipping.
They were "like new" with the chrome tips; heck they cost about $420 new... each!!!! I think the buyer got off cheap :)
