no reverse

Default no reverse

Ran my car at the drag strip this weekend.When i started to shift to 3rd the clutch pedal stayed on the floor,so the car would not go into 3rd.So i coasted across the line.Now i can not get the car in reverse,all other gears work fine.It has a stock clutch and stock master cylinder.I changed the fluid 3 weeks ago.I have got it into reverse twice since this happened.Also got under car to check reverse solenoid its not plugged up. The end that plugs up has been tie wraped up so it was not pluged up when i bought the car. Any help would be very nice THANKS. car is a 2003 z06 headers cam cold air

The reverse lockout solenoid is on top.

I read where you can push the shifter very hard it will go in reverse, so i tried that and it went into reverse.Will that mean its a bad solenoid

You should probably do a shifter alignment too just to rule it out. Its a fast and easy thing to accomplish.
