Newby question on skip shift
Recently bought my 01 vert from a dealership, asked them if it already had the 1st to 4th skip shift in and they were not sure. So when I see the light come on in traffic, the car doesn't do anything. I go from 1st into 2nd and so on no problem.
I know this sounds like the question answers itself but curious if a CAGS (Skip-Shift) is installed, will the light come on anyways?

The CAGS SIM is a 50 Cent resistor connected to a plug.
SO,, The car THINKS the solenoid is still working and YES,,,, the light will come on when the SIM is installed. The ONLY way to eliminate the lights with tuning to TUNE OUT the PID
FUNNY,, I have an 02 ZO6 and an 11 Grand Sport. Neither one has the CAGS device when they were new. I have never seen the CAGS once in the 02 or 11 unless I was on the navy base where the speed limit is 25 MAX 15 normal.
Its all about THROTTLE MODULATION
I just had the PID TUNED OUT when I had the PC tuned. NO BIG DEAL..
