Default QTP on C5

Hi to all! I come from Italy and I own a 2001 C5 Convertible. I would like buy QTP cutout on my Vette, here nobody have them and can help me.
Do you know which one I have to take? On their site there are many kits.
http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/specs.php
I do not know the diameter of the exhaust.
Could you help me?
Thanks in advance!

Factory exhaust it 2.5 inch so you can either get their 2.5 round cutouts or their low profile oval cutouts.

I sent a mail to the factory and they replied me this:

You will need the QTEC66 which is low profile ovals. They are $399.00 and we recommend the turns downs 11338. You will need 2 of them. They are $25 each. Other option is the 10900 wireless remote. That is $79.00

Then I asked for these:
http://shop.quicktimeperformance.com...ct_detail&p=47
And they replied:

You are right your exhaust is 2.5”. but that part number does not fit a corvette. The ovals require more install time but they are made to fit.

What change between round and oval low profile?

Thanks in advance!

Im not sure why they say they wont fit there seems to be plenty of room for either one, If you take a look at the bottom of this thread http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...-pictures.html he put the ovals on. Of course he has 3 inch exhaust so there is a little less room but I dont see any problem with being able to fit the round cutouts in there.

The round is going to take up a little more room vertically and the oval is going to take more space horizontally. Personally if and when I get them they will be the low profile ones which are oval and set it up like the guy in the thread I linked to earlier.
Oh and on QTP's website they show their round ones on a C5, so yes they will fit, just depends if you are willing to sacrifice a small amount of ground clearance with the round ones, not like you would even notice them being lower as they are really close to the rear tires.

Sorry, where they show the round? I only saw a video but the valves aren't showed. Can you post the link?

In tthe link that you post, they are near rear wheels, I saw many videos on youtube that they put them nearest the negine. What change?

Does the low profile make less sound than normal round? What change between the round and oval?

I'd like to know if these fit the 2001 C5.

I would imagine they sound the same, and they should fit fine if you set them up like they have in their video.

That is not the video Im talking about, the one Im talking about is on their main page and all you can see is the bottom of the car which is a corvette. If you click this link here it will take you to the page Im talking about and the video is about 1/3rd the way down.

Another question: is there a specific point where welding the cutout? I saw different videos where the cutout are near the engine or others before the mufflers. What change?

It is really up to you and where you want to put them along with room being another factor. If you put them up front you will bypass your cats if you have them and potentially relieve more back pressure.
