Had tint put on my car about 8 months ago. Never really noticed a problem but now when my driverside window goes almost down or starts to go up it makes this noise like its sticking. Is there some adjustment that should be made after tint install or is my motor maybe going bad? Thanks
The windows are not taken apart when you have tint intalled. The tint or the install has nothing to do with your current issue. Sounds like the regulator is binding up as the the window is drawn down. Take the door panel off and instpect the regulator and motor assembly.
My regulator made lots of noise before it would start to bind and the window would stop going down. One of the regulator wires was kinked and when that wire got to the pulley in the motor it would bind up and stop. I found a new ACDelco motor and requlator on Amazon for $116.
Thanks for the info. I didn't know of the additional thinkness of tint was causing an issue which needed adjusting somehow. So pretty much my driver side motor is on its way out and the passenger is not far behind.

Passenger side window
I have an 05, and the problem I have is I can not let the passenger side window up from the driver side controls. I can lower the window from the driver side. The window works fine from the passenger side up and down. Is this a program problem, window motor or the driverside switch is bad.
