I have this issue with the "LOW COOLANT" message that just wont go a way!! I had to replace my radiator on my 98 vette due to a small leak/crack on the radiator. Everything went well, but the message keep coming up and I just can't clear it.

Does anyone know how to clear this message?
Thank you in advance
Tap on the coolant tank where the sensor is located. Sometimes when the coolant has been drained and filled on the tank, air bubble sometimes sit just where the sensor is and give you the false reading.
Well, It appears that i have a bad sensor. I tested the system with the jumper and the message disappeared Now, I have been searching for a replacement sensor on the web, and nothing comes back
I supposed I could go to the local autoparts store and see if they have them. what do you guys suggest?

Contact Gene @GMPartsHouse Look to the far left along the side of the main page and you will find his ad. He has a great reputation and is a forum vendor. Good Luck.
Yes! the sensor is in it's original position. I never removed it from the reservoir tank, I only removed the radiator. I heard the if you clean the sensor would work once again..... done that too!!

There are online vendors here, but shipping will probably make it more expensive than just getting if from a local dealership. Call around, some are better than others when it comes to prices.

Just a question before buying a new sensor. How hard did you hit the tank/sensor? You have to hit it with pretty good force to have the bubbles come out.

....OP has a 98, so that tank is almost 14 years old. I would not be beating on it too much.....
