After finally getting the Vararam installed I took it out for a drive and it seemed to run a little warmer than normal. Not sure if this is due to the computer needing to learn the new air intake amount but it it stayed around 220 on the highway. I was not able to drive above 50 for 45 min but I did for about 30. Is this normal until the cpu recognize the new air amount? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Oh and the install of the system was pretty good but dealing with the small things that chevrolet has installed is what took so long.

That is not normal, check the radiator inlet cowling and the center air dam. These parts are integral to directing cooling air to the radiator.
You may have dislodged one of the foam seals that runs inbetween the radiator shroud and the radiator. There is one on each side that runs the vertical length of the shroud. Or you may have installed your air dam backwards or something. The vararam itself won't cause the car to overheat. But I know during that install, you are taking off all the important cooling stuff...make sure it went back on the right way.

I did have to move and replace that foam seal that you mentioned. I thought I put it back like it was but I'll have to get back under there and check it out. That would be amazing if that's it because I never thought that would make such a difference. Thanks!
if the car still has the OEM thermostat and no tune then turning off the AC will cause this too. Try pushing in the AC button
REALLY because for some reason the AC kept turning on! So I need to get a tune and the 160 thermostat? I really hope that's the case. I will check things out and then try driving with the AC on. Thanks!
