hud difference between 99 and 2002

I drove a 99 that only displayed the mph on the hud and saw a picture of a 2002 hud that showed a tach too. Did the hud get better over the years or is there a way to display the tach on the old hud?

I do not believe they have changed any, you can choose the level of informatin displayed. :yesnod:

I thought I tried the page button and it didnt do anything. I will try it again this weekend. THanks!

If it is only showing the MPH, and no tach or anything else, it could just need a re boot. Mine has done it twice, it will stop showing parts of it, so i just disconnect the battery for at least 10 min., and it all comes back on. Some kind of glitch in the system.

Okay, some training is needed here...

HUD use 101:

Press the page button to alter the gauge on the right hand side of the HUD display.

Press and hold the page button to change what kind of information is displayed. For example:

MPH
Tach
Tach + MPH
MPH + Gauge
MPH + Tach + Gauge
etc...

HUD's are all the same from 99 to 02 and I don't know of any changes planned for the 03. I understand the next generation HUD will have some color as well as additional items that it can/will monitor. The C6 will probably get the new improved HUD.
