It looked a lot worse than it actually was. Lots of piece/parts to remove but nothing tricky or difficult. The actual ring install went without incident, all was needed was a little patience with the glue, 15 seconds and presto... it's installed. I could offer a suggestion, keep things a clean as possible. Keep those pesky dog hairs out of the assembly. Carefully clean and inspect before reassy. Instructions were correct, easy to follow and very complete.
When complete the bezels completely transform the gauge cluster. At night it's really different.
Sorry don't have a dig. cam. but the pictures on their web site are accurate. If you might have any detail questions please let me know I'd be glad to answer them if I can.
Think you could send me the directions? IM if you want. I just got my bezels, but there wasn't any instructions in the box. :( Can't wait to do the install..... They really look
Ray, congrats on the new look of your guages. I really like what the bezels did for the looks of my interior. I agree, the install looks and sounds much worse than it is. When you are done, you look back and say "That wasnt that hard at all!".

I installed my yesterday.. They look great...especially on my Pewter..a perfect match! Take your Time! When the instructions say 4 SMALL drops..it's 4 SMALL drops..Great mod!:D
That looks good. I just got the autometer Sport Comp guages on my A-pillar, they have a silver bezel, and if I painted these aluminum bezels silver to match, my entire instrument cluster would jive perfectly.

I think I just found my next mod.
I agree totally! I have always liked the looks of the Autometer Aluminum Bezel guages and these bezels give our OEM guages a very similar look. And yep, the would match a set of Autometer A-Pillar guages PERFECTLY!
Haven't ordered mine yet but I too was thinking about the project. I'd offer one suggestion wear latex gloves to avoid any mis-placed smudges or finger prints. Keeping things tidy is probably an understatement. If you left a finger print you'd go crazy until it was corrected.
WOW - here we have a mod that is like brand new and folks are already thinking about modding the mod. Painting them body color or even some other color is interesting. Got to love all this creativity and since I don't have a creative bone in my body I'll take my time and see what developes.
Tom,
Absolutely correct on the latex glove comment, I used an unpowdered pair of surgical gloves when placing the rings in the gauge cluster. No fingerprint worries. And with the ultraviolet backlighting, all lint will show as well. It might be worth using one of those computer cleaning air airsol cans to blow things off just before reassembly.
I guess we got lucky with mine, we did the install in a garage, with no gloves or compressed air! :)
You dont have to even touch the cluster at all really once you get the clear platic cover off... you just haev to be REAL gentle lining the rings up around the guage, but they are machined to fit PERFECTLY.
