I just thought I would post up some threads to see if anyone in the area is interested in a little track time at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown on Friday the 13th . So far, it looks like there will be a small group of us meeting up out there including my FRC, a C5Z, '06 C6, '00 SS, a '11 Mustang, and a '70 Mach 1.

Should be some of the very limited cool air we get in Houston, and a good opportunity to meet some more gearheads.

Will do.

I was posting in some of these sections, because personally I very rarely open any sections outside of the C5 and C6 area and figure i'm probably not the only one that way.

Me and some friends might head out there. Look for a black c5 with a small grill setting around it. Yall are welcome to grab a bite to eat if we're grilling

Sounds like a plan. Our grill is kinda small but workable! I just hope I can make it out, schools a priority at the moment.

Looks like a few of my friends are bringing some of their imports. They are all good people, but maybe y'all will be able to have some fun and set them straight on the whole import vs domestic ordeal

so how did everyone do? I smoked my clutch my first run and didn't run again. My buddy with the '11 5.0 with intake, headers, exhaust, and tune ran a best of 12.18 @ 116 and my other buddy with a 06 z06 with cold air intake and a tune ran a best of 11.47 @ 128, he couldnt get traction in first. I will be getting a new clutch soon. I don't get it, my car only has 24k miles. I think a few of us are going again this Friday.

I'm in the same boat!! A day and a half later, and my garage still has the faint smell of burnt clutch. I waited over 1.5hrs in the staging lanes before getting to make a first run... the ET Streets hooked, and the clutch didn't. I pedaled it down the track for a 12.46 @ 119, but the engine speed was floating up/down/up/down the entire way haha . My Dad did a 12.0x @ 118 in his '06 C6, taking it easy for first pass with the ET Streets and then didn't go again because of all the ridiculous delays from drivers being idoits out there.

I'm looking at doing this combo purchase from Tick/Monster with a level 3, to replace everything down there. Haven't decided 100% though. http://www.tickperformance.com/tick-...-corvette-z06/

Yeah, I was looking at that same package, but the stage 2. I've read good things about monster. It sucks because I was gonna spend a few hundred more bucks and do that cam swap. Looks like I'm just gonna do a clutch now. Oh well. So when do you plan on doing yours?

I was only thinking level 3 because I don't plan on being a stranger at the track, and want the capacity for future mods. If I have time this week, I may start the tear down a little at a time. No rush, since it is just the toy. I'll probably get the parts on order by the end of the week, once I decide for certain which way I want to go. Until then, she will be on a saline drip in the garage

Ordered the package from Tick last night with level 3 monster. If I can find a 12mm TT assembly, I may update from my 10mm version while I'm in there.
