I just bought a set of Hotchkis sway bars off the used section. They are brand new but didn;t come with the endlinks. Can I use my stock endlinks or even the after market metal ones or do I need to purchase a set from hotchkis.
If it was me in your situation I would go for the metal end links instead of the factory units. The Hotchkis metal ones are adjustable and are much less likely to break under certain conditions.
I just swapped the Hotchiss end links for 2002 Z06 end links. After over a year of "clunking" I couldn't stand it any longer. The Z06 end links are solid bur not adjustable; they have a rubber seal around the ball and socket joints. I can't feel the difference and they are quiet.
If you want to buy the Hotchiss ends let me know, but I would recommend the Z06 ends.

I agree with the suggestion from the above two reply posts. I also had the hotchkiss links for about six months and just couldn't get them tight enough. Used the brass washers, tightened with torque wrench, tuner tightened, etc. etc. Passengers would ask "what's wrong with your car?" Then got a set of the Z06 links from Ken and voila, noise gone, quiet again and nicely functioning sway bars! If you do the work yourself, you'll see that the Z06 links really are easier to work with than the OEM (which requires torx key, wrench, and in a tight space to boot. The Z06 are aluminum with rubber covered joint on top and worked just fine during road racing last night!

Where can I pick up a set of the ZO6 end links and how much did they run you? What about the install of the sway bars? Pretty easy? How much time did it take. Thanks again :flag
It does help thanks. Which vendor can I find Ken at? Thanks again :flag
Hey Rhyan, hope the sway bars are coming along well! :) Call Bob at Ken Fichtner's (Ken runs a Chevy dealership, Bob is his main parts guy). Bob can be reached @ 406-628-4618.

I too have heard that the Hotchkis endlinks can be a little tough to deal with. The Z06 endlinks should serve you nicely. :)
Patrick thanks for the number. Haven;t had a chance to put them on yet no time. I can't wait though a little anxious to get them on. Thanks again
I'm actually ordering a new set from Hotchkis.I had the heim joint ones on my car with the T1's and took them off.I just put a new sway bar set up on another C5 and now they have spcers that are suppose to eliminate the clunking problem.
Is anyone who has a squeaking/clunking set of takeoff links willing to sell them to me cheap? I'd like to try out metal before shelling out the cash for a set.
