1997 corvette automatic transmission problem wont go past 50 mph.

So, being the first time I've heard of this issue, what exactly is the engine doing when you try to accellerate past 50, such as the RPM just sitting there? Any other information might be very helpful. I don't have an A4 tranny so I'm in the dark other than backyard mechanic questions. Fluid level? Again, not a trans expert...I suggest you contact one such as RPM Transmissions as they are indeed experts.

Doubt it's the trans. There should be codes but can you feel it shifting into all the gears INCLUDING OD?

Exactly my thoughts again...does it downshift when you press the accelerator? Pull your codes and see if anything appears there.

that happen to me and it was the little plugin for the speed sensor on the diff.. car woulden shift past second gear

wont go past 50mph and rpm 1500 it shift 1st 2nd gear

only code is po410 secondary air sensor.
