What is the name of the tool or better yet, a part # and place to buy one from? I recalled someone saying Autozone. I know some people have mentioned removing these clips with a claw hammer or needle nose, but I'd prefer to buy the tool if its relatively inexpensive.
Autozone is where I got mine. I just went in and asked if they had a "hood liner clip removal tool." The guy knew exactly what I was talkin' about. I think it costs 4 or 5 bucks.
Re: Tool to remove hood liner clips? (Ram Air Tony)
fingers
just pull them out...they come out EASY :yesnod:
Yep, you already have the tools on the ends of your hands
If you aren't careful with the tool, you will mark the liner. Use your fingers and get them under opposite sides of the flat part and gently pull straight out, they will come right out.
Just cut two 15" pieces of wire and wrap them around the clips in opposite directions one turn. Then just pull on the wires and out pops the clips. Works great and doesn't damage the clips. Cheap too...
