Default Cant get C5 UD pulley on.....HELP

Ok guys I bought a pulley off a member on here. I went to install it today and it gets really hard at this point. Some info on the setup is a 5.3 which has been bored out to a ls1 and has a ls1 crank. It has a C5 accessory drive. I have put on the truck pulley 2-3 times and its pretty easy. I made my own hawk installation tool so im using that. Hers as far as I can get it:

Did you try and draw it on with the crank bolt and wrench?? Think of how tight it was on there when you removed the old one.

That's how I installed mine.

NO. That is the worst possible advice

To the OP, DO NOT use the crank bolt to install the balancer. Use a piece of threaded rod, or the correct installation tool.

Just curious, what type of balancer is that? Also, post pics of the tool you made.

How is that the worst possible advice??? Your not driving it on with an impact, which would be the worst possible advice.

Walking it on slow with hand tools and watching for movement won't damage anything.

Heat up the pulley just a little with an benzo-matic if needed. But mind the rubber.

Too many have stripped out the threads in the crank doing this......it's not worth it.....which is why there are specific tools to accomplish this task.

Interesting. Never heard of this on our cars. I'll invest in the correct tool next time. Learn something everyday. Thanks!

Yes I know, I made my own hawk installation tool. But come to find out it was the tool. The threads binded up inside and stripped out. Time to make a new one

Stripped out what? What thread size did you use for the rod?

Not the crank haha, the tubing I used to go over the rod was real tight around the threads and the threads caught the inside and wasbjamming up.
