Hi guys newby Rich Rosand here from sunny Homestead Florida. I recently purchased a 04 coupe. I am planning my modifications and have or will be doing the following:
*LG long tube headers and x-pipe, no cats, into a Billy Boat "bullit" pipes behind the axle.
*Ported 92mm Fast intake with a ported and polished 90/92mmThrottle body
*Halltech Venom II intake
*Purchased an extra PCM? (computer) with a mail order tune on it, based on the above bolt ons.
Here is my question... It seems as though I would have an air "bottleneck" at the MAF unit if I keep my stock unit. Should I upgrade to a larger unit? I don't plan on any internal modifications if that is a factor. After spending some time reading many many posts I have come to value the knowlege out there in the forum. Thanks in advance for the help!!

I have an LS2 w/Vararram, ported FAST, 42# inj, TF 225s, Kook 1 7/8 headers, making 500+ rwhp on stock MAF. Don't see a lot of people upgrading them. Local reputable tuner would not be a bad idea.
Dude, those bullets and the headers are going to make it loud! The components you have chosen are all good quality with proven performance gains. I am guessing you will be at around 375 RWHP. A good tune is critical.
To answer your question directly, waddisme is right, I don't see many people upgrading the MAF. Maybe plan on a Heads and Cam upgrade next if the HP bump from the other mods is not enough for you.
Thanks guys. I just wanted some independant opinions. The MAF stays. Yes on the loud. If it becomes objectionable, (I doubt it) I'll just slip the cats in and tone it down a bit. As far as later mods, I doubt it, but as a former racer, more power is always better.
Rich, the a dyno tune will really get you the most power. After I had one I'm a true believer. I'm another south Florida guy, I used a guy in West Palm Beach and he did a great job. I know of a good guy in Boca also. If you want any of that info send me a PM.
