Default Upgrading to an 85mm maf

I got my 2001+ stock air bridge today and since the 85mm maf have a built in iat what do I do with my current iat whole in the airbridge and wiring?

So would I just plug off that hole with a rubber stopper?

Plus the 3 pin to 5pin harness I bought has a seperate iat cord now too

personally I think the built-in iat sensor is not good. I found that it was getting heatsoak real bad and was causing my timming to be pulled. I cut the wires and spliced into the harness to relocate my iat sensor to the front of the car away from the engine heat and it solved the problem. I'm also running a Honker CAI and it moved the MAF close to the TB which doesn't help things.

If I were you I would take advantage of the opertunity and re-locate the IAT.

here you can see how close the MAF is to the TB and where I spliced into the harness


the sensor is mounted down in front where air enters the radiator and intake
