C5 windshield wipers won't park.

My 97' C5 wipers went on by themselves when I went through the carwash. The wiper motor got submerged w/ water when the motor compartment drains got clogged. I replaced the wiper motor w/ a remanurfactured one from an auto parts retailer. (cheaper money than the dealer)., but when the wipers are shut off , they don't stop in the proper position. (very low on the windshield). What could cause this? The curcuitry in the rebuilt isn't consistant w/ the original? Please help!

You cannot simply reposition the arms on the shafts?
