Bose stereo just quit this morning on my 02 convertible after I loaded a new tune, no display or sound and antenna doesn't extend. Checked both fuse 24 and 28, and there is power supplied to the fuses. Any suggestions on the culprit?
Try reloading the TUNE again. The head unit is serial buss monitored and not knowing if a corrupt tune will cause the BOSE unit to just quit, that seems to be the most logical place to start.
I know that loading a tune can and will effect the IPC as I lost ALL oil pressure readings and the temp gage was pegged. It was caused by a corrupt tune load. Reloaded the tune again and the problem resolved its self
Give that a try. MAKE SURE that your battery is FULLY charged and when you flash the PCM,, DO NOT change any electrical loads while its working!

Thanks Bill. Reloaded the tune and all is back to normal. Funny you should mention the oil pressure, as I was updating a tune after logging some AFR's started up and got a check gages message and a "0" oil pressure reading. I reloaded the tune and it went back to normal. Battery is fully charged and reads 12.7 after sitting all night, but I might just swap in a new one just to make sure.
Thanks again all
65GGvert thanks , yeah after digging through the schematic I checked the number 5 as well as the 24 and 28.

See, I was thinking too simplistically. I thought you were just being cool and saying "loaded a tune" meant you put in a cd to play a tune. It never occurred to me that you were really loading a tune. Glad you got it resolved.

I did too...until I checked his profile. Doesn't sound like the stereo type. NICE CAR!

I guess this is a perfect example of the message being lost over the internet. lol I am finding all the quirks when your electrical system is 100% while tuning the car.
