Lower it until it just needs a bit more to look perfect. Then drive it for a week or so to let it settle. Make any adjustments needed, drive it some more, and then when you are happy with it get a 4 wheel alignment. And get Fangs from Sac City or fat daddys to protect the front. Then be careful of steep driveways, speed bumps, and going into parking lots where you go up and then down. Then admire the way it looks and take pictures and post them.
Having my vette lowered tomorrow. It is OEM(possibly more?) Bigfoot tall... have no major areas to climb over, so...
One inch to start? I'm almost four fingers deep on the gap - ouch... the wheel gap ...
Opinions needed!
Lowering below the maximum recommended by the OEM is a bad idea for several reasons. Conduct a search on the subject, look for post by SOLOFAST. The car will have to be re-aligned after lowering.

Hi Everyone,
Our C5Z is lowered on stock bolts. Fangs are a must have! A nice feature with the Fangs is you don't loose any noticeable ground clearance and that’s very important when your skid plates are already so close to the ground and then you lower them even more! Don't wait till you scrape!
Here is a link to our Fangs. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...eneficial.html

Big thanks to the guy on the zx10 that blew by me hauling major ***...
That FL state trooper looked pissed....
I had that happen to me a little while back with an audi, what made it even better was that he cut me off right when it went down to one lane.
Lowering all the way on stock bolts makes it look a lot better and it really isnt any different driving.
Great advice. When I bought mine the goof had removed the front bolts and lowered the rear all of the way. It was riding on the bump stops on the shocks and destroyed them and the shocks. Handled like a piece of crap.
You need to drive over a few bumps in the road. (kinda hard to find on those nice Fla roads.)
Drive it for a few days to settle.
What are you referring to when you say the fronts are flush? With what?
You wouldn't want to go any lower in the rear. 2-1/2 threads left on the end of the rear bolts, would be the safe way to go with the GM bolts & bushings in the rear.
Flush to the bushings... drove 20 miles... total Pinellas gridlock at 4.....
Are you saying that the front adjusters have all the available threads showing at the top of the front spring & that it's setting as low as it possibly can with the front adjusters?
At any rate, drive the car for a week to let settle.
Good luck.

This is why we don't recommend users of our fixed shock products (Johnny O'Connell and Inverted Sport Shocks) lower their cars past what the factory recommends. You can have the greatest shock in the world installed, but with limited suspension travel you are handcuffing the handling potential of the car from the start.
Suggest you get some frame savers. They have helped me more than once. In addition, they will also help prevent your rocker panels from messed up.
