Instrument Speedometer replacement
I have a 2002 C5 without Hud and would like to put in a 2004instrument cluster with Hud. Someone told me that if I put in the 2004 set up, it can cause the odometer to show errors because the onboard computer will have a different odometer reading than the new speedo set up from the 2004. Can any one tell me if I can install a 2004 instrument cluster with a different odometer reading in an 2002 without any problem?

All C5's from mid-1999 forward have instrument clusters that are HUD ready. In order to add HUD to your vehicle - you will just need to obtain the projector, HUD switch and cable to plug into your existing cluster.
No need to change mileage as your existing cluster will stay in your car.
I went through this with mine last year. I think Gene Culley is running an upgrade special that bundles all the necessary parts together.

I have the complete set up from the 2004 and would like to just replace the whole unit. I really don't care about the odometer as it only has 2k miles more on it. I'm just concerned about it showing errors if placed in my 2002?
