Default PCV/CCV idle issues

I recently removed my stock pcv/ccv system on my 1997 C5 LS1 and installed a oil cap breather, and a catch can assembly routing from the passenger valve cover to the intake manifold. I deleted the CCV from the passenger valve cover to the throttle body. Upon starting the car back up today, the idle is really rough and the car seems to be running rich. (Nothing else at all was changed in the car).. Any idea what might be causing this or what I can do to fix it? I guess I can reinstall some of the old components but is this something a simplt tune would fix? I have the HPtuners Pro so I can go that route if needed.

Thanks guys!

Crank Case Ventilation going from the front of the passenger side valve cover to the TB.. according to GM's diagram, they have the system labeled as a PCV system, but then the hose going to the TB is called the CCV..

I did the same thing a had the same reaction. Yes you need to change your airflow then you'll be fine.

Well glad to hear this has happened to someone else before. How did you go about changing your airflow? Is there any quick fix in the tune? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you have FI replace the ccv hose and the oil cap with the stock one and you idle problem will be gone.
