Default lean bank code

my 04 z06 engine check light came on, on the way back from a road trip at 75 mph . took it to the dealership and they found a crack in the hose from the maf sender . replaced it and still throwing code indicating lean bank 1 & 2. i have a calloway honker intake and till now no problems . any ideas? the tec said it only happens when the car is driven not at idel like most . anyone with any ideas? thanks larry

Sounds like an air leak...generally if a car has the ability to suck in air after the mass air flow sensor this can happen. I would check your air duct and all rubber connectors/hoses. I had this happen on a supercharged truck awhile back ended up being hose that came off the intake manifold after the MAF. Worst case is your MAF sensor is bad. Best of Luck!

Also check the bridge hose to the maf to insure it hasn't come off on the bottom of it

After you've completed the recommendations above, you might consider one of these from HALLTECH. The '04 Z06 did not have an MAF screen from the factory...

You're at sea level. If your system is leak free you shouldn't experience lean bank codes.

I'm at 5,200ft altitude. When I first got my car, I installed a "Blackwing" and got intermittent annoying lean codes. I removed it.

I recently installed a "Honker" along with the HALLTECH screen. So far, no lean codes. It might help you as well.
