Water Temperture Sensor Question/Problem
I have an 03 ZO6. The problem I have is once a year or sometimes twice a year the water temp sensor quits. Temp pegs on the analog gauge and xxxx appears on the DIC.
If I replace the sensor it works fine for a few months.
Of course the antifreeze is new Dex Cool.
Any suggestions?

Connector wiring to the sensor...are the contacts clean and tight? The coolant temp sensor is a critical item to the engine operation. The PCM needs the temperature in order to pull the correct information from the various tables to run the engine optimally.
