Default LED fix

As a matter of fact it is quite simple to change from bulbs to LED's

Don't forget this is for the C5 , I'm not familiar with the C6 wiring.

I installed already the new (no hyper) flasher relay,
resistors do work but get hot and I don't like loadresistors.
Mine were burned out from the rear Led's
Flash relay example : http://www.parts123.com/corvettecent...50c&ukey=29813

Buy a set new sockets. ( and the switchback LED's)
example: https://www.corvettemods.com/assets/...v22pq60_12.jpg

LED's example: http://image.dhgate.com/albu_344066475_00/1.0x0.jpg

The old sockets in the Corvette will be halfway burned out and/or damaged from the heat.
See that you get the complete existing wiring out of the old socket , it saves extra or double termination.

Then as in picture GEDC0157 there are 2 notches under the rubber seal.

You can push the interior out with a small screwdriver and pull with a nose pliers.
Then the wiring comes also loose.

Pull out the double wedge terminal pic GEDC0159 , GEDC0160

Cut one leg from the terminal , on the side of the wires see pic GEDC0162, GEDC0163, GEDC0171.

Exchange the brown and the black wire.
Put a little silicon grease on the seals of the wires.

Explanation.

Black is neutral.
DRL ON the brown wire gets 12v+ ( orange light )
Direction = Brown flashing ON/OFF

Parkinglight ON = Blue wire gets 12v+ , Brown is 0 volt (White parking light )

Inside the switchback LED unit
When Blue =12v+ and Brown gets also 12v+ for direction the LED's switches back to orange and starts flashing via Brown.
When the intermittant flashing time is < ± 750 millisec the white LED's remains off. (charge or discharge of a capacitor + transistor)
When > ± 750 millisec the white LED's comes back on.

That's all there is to it.
I hope it works on your C6 the same way.

Just bought led switch backs from lasfit and ran into same problems with one working on passenger side and driver side only lighting up amber but will not blink or switch over to white light when in DRL mode, so I have purchase the inner terminal assembly and outer socket from Custom Connector Kits $5.50 per both pieces , I bought two of them , $9.00 shipping but hey where else you gonna find them still a cheap alternative . I understand the need to switch the black and brown wire when putting back together but pictures are a bit blurry so hard to see what part of the terminal you sniped off appears to be lower right portion of terminal closest to the newly located brown wire ? Is this correct . Thanks appreciate your help!

Pretty sure I installed the resistors correctly (red to blue/white wire, black to black) on the far outside wires for the DRL's, and after the install this is what I have going on: when the car is on, no lights are on. When I turn on the parking lights, both light up white. When I use the blinkers like this or with the parking lights off or with the headlights on, only the left blinker is working, the right one does not work at all. The right one was working as a blinker when I just plugged in the bulb and tried using the blinker to be sure before I put it back together, but then after it didn't work at all. Also, the other amber light next to the DRL's on the right side is no longer lighting up, and I pulled it out and it is definitely not burnt out. I'm really lost and have no idea why the lights are not working correctly, thank you in advance for any help.
The corvette mod switchback leds do not work. They are complete garbage. I had the same issue wirh them.. I had to go through the CC company to get my money back. The first and last time I ever used them. Complete scam company

Did you try to modify the socket by moving the wiring position of the brown and black wires and clip the ground prong he (Timelords) discussed in his solution? I have ordered another socket as my original was burnt but still working so I should have the new socket sometime next week! I realize this is a 6 year old post with the potential solution but thought maybe someone might have tried his fix and respond to this message as a known solution

Ok driver side not working passenger side switch back works as it should, so I bought the parts and modified the negative clip and reversed the black and brown wire and on the socket for the drivers side installed the lasfit bulb and I got a constant amber with the drl on and a flashing amber with the turn signal on, no white light on the driver side , I did not modify the passenger side left it stock but it works as a switch back was supposed to with a white light drl and an amber turn signal. So not sure what else to do other than return to the stock socket arrangement and put the original amber bulbs back in ! Anyone have additional information or thoughts on this !
